The ISA Education Foundation , a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of education related to the personal property appraising field, has published a new annual journal titled the Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies

The Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies is a unique annual peer reviewed journal written and edited specifically for personal property appraisers. The content includes original research articles, integrative reviews and topical discussions of professional appraisal issues and concerns from a variety of perspectives, theories and approaches. The 2008 edition contains over 20 articles and contributions from many nationally and internationally recognized personal property appraisers and from appraisal related industries such as auction houses, insurance brokerages, museums and cultural property conservationists.

The editor, Todd Sigety, is the owner of two antique shops in Alexandria, Virginia, and has written for many academic and professional magazines. He is a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers. For more information please contact him at editor@isafoundation.org.

The ISA Education Foundation headquarters is in San Antonio, Texas. Rebecca Norton is the Executive Director. The foundation has been in existence since 2002 and provides scholarships to the appraisal community and offer grants to worthwhile endeavors, specifically those providing education and instruction to the public about personal property appraising and related subjects.
